Roasted beets, fennel (both from the farm stand), and Vidalia onions over a tossed salad with pecan crusted goats cheese and Israeli couscous.

Getting ready for some potted tomatoes and a dish of herbs (mint and basil to start).
Banana ice cream — freeze bananas, puree with a little milk (I used coconut milk) and other flavorings of choice. Enjoy with cookie.

A few of the plants could be a little healthier — we have sand for soil, living so close to the ocean — but it’s not bad for a first try gardening.
Testing some stain for the replacement floor boards — turns out a combination of English Chestnut and Dark Walnut did the trick. Thanks to CR for the loan of some sample stain and the suggestion to try more than one color!
